my first date with Chris was on 1st March 1979. I was a first year student at Farnham 6th Form College and he was the groundsman. You might think I was too young to be going out with a 21 year old but I was 17 1/2 at the time. We met at a disco on the dance floor at The Memorial Hall in Farnham organised by the college. We were both wearing flaired trousers and I had a a pair of high wedged denim shoes on which made me about 4 inches taller than I actually was. I took them off part way through as they were hurting my feet and we both had the giggles when I suddenly shrunk to 5 foot. By the end of the evening I was smitten, Chris was so good looking, a bit like Patrick Duffy from Dallas. The next 2 years were a whirlwind of disco's, concerts, party's and holidays. Chris was my first and only boyfriend and I stayed faithful to him from that first day.

we got engaged in 1980 and married in 12th September 1981.
